Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi took the lead early in the Donnington MotoGP race today, and cruised to a comfortable victory over second-place Colin Edwards (Honda) and third-place Sete Gibernau (Honda). Rossi stretched his points lead in the championship to 22, with Max Biaggi (having an off day — finishing twelfth) and Gibernau tied for second place in points.
