Suzuki could be ready for a change of fortune in 2005. After years of bad luck, the Suzuki motocross/supercross line-up for 2005 looks pretty bullet proof.
Ricky Carmichael is just part of the equation. While Carmichael will ride the proven RM250 two-stroke in supercross, teammate Sebastien Tortelli reportedly will develop the new 450cc four-stroke indoors. Carmichael is expected to switch to the 450 when the outdoor season begins (and his dominance likely continues).
If Carmichael and Tortelli are a formidable team in the big-bike category, Suzuki could be just as successful in the 125 class with Broc Hepler and David Milsaps. Hepler has to be the odds-on favorite to win at least one championship next year (the beginning of the post-James Stewart era). If Milsaps continues to improve (and reach his potential) Suzuki could be the dominant force in the 125 class throughout 2005.
