James Toseland (Ducati) took the win in the first race of this weekend’s round of the World Superbike Championship at Assen. Veteran Pierfrancesco Chili (Ducati) was second, and Regis Laconi rounded out an all-Ducati podium.
In the second race Toseland was challenged by Chris Vermeulen (Honda), with Vermeulen eventually coming out ahead to take the win. Popular Japanese rider Noriyuki Haga brought his Ducati home in third.
