After his recent podium, and today’s qualification effort (qualifying fifth for tomorrow’s first-ever Qatar GP), one has to marvel at the effort of Shinya Nakano to push Kawasaki forward in MotoGP.
Shaking off an horrific tire failure earlier in the season, Nakano has consistently, and dramatically, outperformed his teammate Alex Hoffman, and relentlessly pushed the Kawasaki MotoGP machine towards competitiveness with the leaders.
Many MotoGP observers acknowledge that Nakano is one of the most talented riders in the world, and that his results aboard the heretofore uncompetitive Kawasaki are rather spectacular. If Kawasaki takes another step forward in its development, look for Nakano to hover around the podium more frequently.
