The two-night U.S. Open of Supercross held in Las Vegas, Nevada ended this evening with Chad Reed (Yamaha) posting a perfect 1/1 for the two main events, and Reed therefore becomes the winner of the $100,000 champion’s prize.
Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki) finished second on night one, but DNF’d on night two with a bike problem with only two laps remaining (while running second to Reed). Mike LaRocco (Honda) finished third on night one, while the podium on night two was filled out by Nick Wey (Honda) in second and Sebastien Tortelli (Suzuki) in third.
