It’s Sunday afternoon in Australia right now, the Phillip Island MotoGP is complete, and Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi is race winner and World Champion.
Rossi battled Sete Gibernau (Honda) for the length of the race, taking the win by less than a tenth of a second at the line. Loris Capirossi put his Ducati in the last podium position, with Colin Edwards (Honda) in fourth.
