21-year-old Andrew Short, who rises to the factory Honda supercross/motocross team in 2005, debuted his Honda CRF250R at the Bercy supercross in France this weekend. An event with three nights of racing, Short won every single main event, and was crowned King of Bercy.
Although the Bercy supercross is now limited to the 125cc class (including 250cc four-strokes), many top riders from the United States, France and other countries participated (including multi-time World champion Mickael Pichon). Short was in a class of his own, however, sweeping the three main events and taking the crown. Short shows every sign of developing into a top supercross rider here in the United States, and is clearly one of the favorites to take a 125cc regional title for 2005.
