It was officially announced yesterday that Max Biaggi will join Nicky Hayden on the top factory Honda MotoGP team, Repsol. There could not be a better time for Biaggi to reach the top rung with Honda.
Honda is surely desperate to take back the MotoGP crown from Yamaha and Valentino Rossi. The MotoGP circus also comes to California, USA next year, where all the teams want to make a strong impression.
Honda has watched how quickly Yamaha improved the M1 in 2004. You would expect Biaggi and Hayden to receive prompt response from the Honda factory when changes are requested to their machinery. Honda will pull out all the stops in order to give Biaggi the best bike possible.
For Biaggi, this could be a last hurrah. The four-time 250cc World champion will have no excuses in 2005. It is probably his last and best chance to take the title in the premier class of motorcycle racing.
