With this year’s AMA 250 supercross series being touted as the “perfect storm”, and the most competitive in history, one has to wonder what happened. Apparently, Ricky Carmichael happened.
Carmichael has won five of the six races, and would have won all six but for a crash at Anaheim I that cost him nearly a lap (he finished third there). James Stewart got hurt before he could really show anyone what he was capable of. Chad Reed did not step up his game the way Carmichael did.
So, the “perfect storm” is threatening to become the “perfect snoozer”.
