Round 7 of the AMA Supercross series produced a barn burner in San Diego, California this evening. Yamaha’s Chad Reed stalked Ricky Carmichael the entire main event, and passed him on the last lap to take the victory — his first of the year. Carmichael finished second aboard his Suzuki. Mike LaRocco (Honda) was third in the 250 class.
In the 125cc Western Region main event Nathan Ramsey (KTM) won a close-fought battle over Ivan Tedesco (Kawasaki) with Andrew Short (Honda) finishing third.
