After reporting recently that Kawasaki was showing off its new 450cc four-stroke motocrosser, and planning to race it in the Japanese motocross series, we see that Kawasaki has delivered the same bike to a Grand Prix motocross team in Europe to be raced at the opening round of MX1 at Zolder.
This bike is clearly headed for production this summer. If Kawasaki can get the requisite number of bikes on dealer showroom floors, James Stewart can race this bike in the AMA Outdoor National Motocross series against Ricky Carmichael and Chad Reed. That series begins in May, so the bike probably would not be available to Stewart until July, or so, which would be the earliest that Kawasaki would bring the bike to market. At that time, there would still be several rounds of the series left.
