Hot on the heels of BMW’s revelation of its new HP2 enduro racer, we are now hearing that KTM will soon reveal a similar model based on its 950 Adventure off-roader. Above is an artist’s rendering, provided by our sources in Europe, which gives an idea of what the new KTM will look like.
Expect the new 950 Enduro to weigh in somewhere around 370 pounds (dry), compared to the BMW HP2’s claimed 386 pound dry weight. The Enduro will also feature a more powerful version of KTM’s 950cc V-Twin motor, producing approximately 100 horsepower.
This category seems to be heating up, and we expect that KTM will promote the 950 Enduro through racing in various off-road competitions world-wide, likely including the prestigious SCORE Baja 500 or 1000.
