On the heels of our recent article speculating Yamaha may have an all-new R1 for 2006, we must remind our readers that Kawasaki and Honda are also expected to introduce major changes to the ZX-10R and CBR1000RR this September.
Indeed, Kawasaki appears committed to a two-year cycle for its sportbikes. The ZX-6R was virtually all-new for 2005, just two years after the entirely new 2003 model was introduced. Next year should be the year of the open class sportbike, as all three Japanese rivals attempt to topple the Suzuki GSX-R1000.
