Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki) won another overall victory and both motos today at the Buchanan, Michigan round (round 5) of the AMA 250 motocross series. Finishing behind Carmichael in second overall was Kevin Windham (Honda; 3/2), with James Stewart (Kawasaki; 2/3) third overall. Carmichael has a massive points lead after just five rounds in the series.
In the 125 class, Grant Langston (Kawasaki) took the overall victory with 1/2 moto scores ahead of Ryan Mills (KTM; 6/1) and Andrew Short (Honda; 3/3). Points leader Mike Brown (Honda) had an off day, finishing seventh overall at Red Bud. Brown continues to hold on to the points lead in the championship, however.
