Perhaps to keep pace with the mega-horsepower, four-cylinder, Japanese 1000s, it is rumored Ducati will offer a version of its 999 superbike with a larger displacement engine. Displacement could be 1100cc, according to the rumor. We may know more about a possible big-bore 999 after the European motorcycle shows this September.
The Ducati 999 factory superbike has recently found a competitive pace in WSB after the series began with total domination by Japanese 1000s.
