The Saturday/Sunday Mid-Ohio AMA Superbike double-header was completed today with two of the series strongest riders taking victories in each event.
On Saturday, points leader, Mat Mladin (Suzuki) took the victory ahead of teammate Ben Spies and Ducati’s Eric Bostrom, who finished second and third, respectively.
On Sunday, Mladin was running in third position (just a few seconds behind Bostrom) when his teammate Aaron Yates crashed in front of him, which caused Mladin to crash and damage his machine. Bostrom went on to win the race, with Miguel Duhamel (Honda) finishing second and Spies third. Mladin pitted for repairs and finished the race, but did not score points.
Mladin’s points lead in the championship is now a slim one over teammate Spies. For additional details, results and points, visit the official AMA Superbike site here.
