Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) won his eighth MotoGP race of the year today at the Sachsenring in Germany. Rossi won a close fought battle over Sete Gibernau (Honda) in second and Nicky Hayden (Honda) in third. Gibernau made a mistake near the end of the race, handing Rossi the victory.
Rossi now has more than double the points of the second place rider in the championship series, Marco Melandri (Honda), who finished seventh. For additional details, results and points, visit the official MotoGP site here.
