U.S. Motocross des Nations Team Suddenly Includes Tedesco, Not Brown

If you look at the entry list of the Motocross des Nations just released today, it does not include the name of Mike Brown, previously announced as the U.S. Team MX2 participant. Instead, coinciding with a press release from Mike Brown’s manager today, Brown has been dropped from the team. The entry list now reflects that the United States will field a team consisting of Ricky Carmichael (MX1 class), Kevin Windham (open class) and Ivan Tedesco (MX2 class). Tedesco is the current points leader in the AMA 125 Outdoor National Motocross championship series.

After a fast start, and building a substantial points lead in the AMA 125 Motocross series earlier this year, Mike Brown has recently put in several poor performances that apparently led to a decision by Roger DeCoster (U.S. team manager), and the remaining team riders to replace Brown on the U.S. team.
