Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki) clinched the AMA 250 Motocross National championship today (one round early) at Steel City Raceway. Carmichael took the overall win (1/1) ahead of second place Kevin Windham (Honda; 2/2) and third place Ernesto Fonseca (Honda; 4/3).
In the 125 class, Broc Hepler (Suzuki) was perfect with 1/1 moto scores, finishing ahead of second place Mike Alessi (KTM; 2/2) and third place Ivan Tedesco (Kawasaki; 5/3).
