Let’s face it. Last year, James Stewart was called a quitter and an excuse maker . . . particularly outdoors. He didn’t have what it took to beat Carmichael outdoors — even on the rare occasion when he finished the race.
Indoors was different last year, and it is shaping up to be different this year. Stewart had Carmichael covered last night in Toronto while displaying the speed he has been known for throughout his career. Stewart was ready to race, and ready to win. The old James Stewart.
There are plenty of races left (17 to be exact), and it won’t be a walk over for Stewart or anyone else. Both the World Supercross GP title and the AMA Supercross title will be hard fought. One thing is certain, however, if James Stewart handles himself every weekend the way he handled himself this weekend, he will be hard to beat.
