Confederate Motorcycle Company Nearly Recovered From Hurricane Damage

One of the many casualties of Hurricane Katrina was the Confederate Motorcycles factory, which was located in New Orleans. Confederate, which produces high-dollar custom-style bikes like the Hellcat and the Wraith, was left at a standstill as the damage to the factory prevented the production of any of their bikes.

Now Confederate has announced that they will soon be opening their new factory in Birmingham, Alabama, and will resume production of the Hellcat in February. The company hopes to have the first ’06 Wraiths rolling off the production line by the beginning of April.

We are happy to see that a small niche manufacturer like Confederate was able to recover so quickly from the damage caused by Katrina. We hope the rest of the Gulf Coast can quickly and fully recover as well.
