Yesterday’s Superbike final at Daytona Raceway was the opening round of the 2006 AMA Superbike championship series. Victory went to Suzuki’s Mat Mladin in a close battle with teammate Ben Spies, who finished second. Honda’s Miguel Duhamel finished third.
