Bad weather resulted in mixed fortunes today at the Assen round of the WSB championship series. Race One saw several of the top riders, including Troy Bayliss (Ducati) and defending champ Troy Corser (Suzuki), crash out on a wet track. The winner of Race One was Chris Walker (Kawasaki), with Andrew Pit (Yamaha) and Michel Fabrizio (Honda) finishing second and third, respectively.
In Race Two, better track conditions resulted in yet another victory for Ducati’s Troy Bayliss, who finished ahead of Pitt in second and Fonsi Nieto (Kawasaki) in third.
Bayliss continues to enjoy a massive points lead in the series. For additional details, results and points, visit the official World Superbike site here.
