If Nicky Hayden is not already a rich young man, he will be after signing a contract for next year. By all accounts, a battle for young Mr. Hayden’s services for the 2007 MotoGP series is ongoing between his present employer Honda, Yamaha and Ducati.
With three races remaining this year, Hayden enjoys a 21-point lead in the championship series over multi-time champ Valentino Rossi (Yamaha). Win or lose the championship, Hayden will be a valuable addition to any team in 2007.
