After resolving the drama of a potential rider boycott this morning (due to conflict with race management over the rain-compressed schedule), the top AMA Superbike racers finally got down to racing this afternoon at Mid-Ohio. In the end, Suzuki’s Mat Mladin took the win, followed by his teammate Aaron Yates in second, and Ducati’s Neil Hodgson in third. Suzuki’s Ben Spies finished seventh to clinch his first AMA Superbike championship.
