Chad Reed (Yamaha), more often than not, finds his speed half-way through the Supercross series, and many of his wins have come in the second half of the series. With his win last night in Toronto, Reed proved two things. First, his bike seems to be dialed in (a rarity for him this early). Second, he may have the speed to run the pace with James Stewart (Kawasaki) this year.
Reed is a very smart rider, and he consistently finishes on the podium. Stewart, on the other hand, has a well-deserved reputation for very fast, but inconsistent riding and results. He frequently injures himself (which he may have done again last night). The way this year has started, Chad Reed will be tough to beat for both titles (World Supercross GP and AMA Supercross).
