James Stewart (Kawasaki) had a very impressive ride in Daytona this evening, capturing the prestiguous Daytona Supercross crown with a convincing victory over Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki) in second and Chad Reed (Yamaha) in third. Stewart continues to stretch his points lead in the AMA Supercross series over Reed.
In the Eastern Region Supercross Lites main event at Daytona, Ben Townley (Kawasaki) was victorious over Thomas Hahn (Honda) in second and Mike Alessi (KTM) in third. Townley moves within six points of the series leader, Ryan Morais (Yamaha).
