The Southwick AMA Motocross National was held today, and Ricky Carmichael took a pair of moto wins and the overall victory in convincing style ahead of James Stewart (Kawasaki; 2/2) and Grant Langston (Yamaha; 3/3).
Carmichael was honored by the city of Southwick, Massachusetts with a proclamation declaring today “Ricky Carmichael Day”.
In the Motocross Lites division, Kawasaki teammates Ben Townley and Ryan Villopoto each took a moto win and a second place today. Townley was credited with the overall win having won the second moto. Finishing third in each moto, and third overall was Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey (3/3).
