Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki) took another overall victory today in the Motocross class at the Red Bud track in Michigan. Although Carmichael tied James Stewart (Kawasaki) on points for the day, he takes the overall win by virtue of a higher finish in Moto 2. Carmichael finished 2/1, while Stewart finished 1/2. Third overall today was KTM’s Mike Alessi (3/3).
In the Motocross Lites class, it was Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto taking the win with 1/1 finishes. Second was Villopoto’s teammate Ben Townley (2/2), while Josh Grant (Honda) finished third (4/3).
