Casey Stoner (Ducati) took a convincing win at Laguna Seca today ahead of second place Chris Vermeulen (Suzuki) and third place Marco Melandri (Honda).
It was generally a bad day for American riders, with only Roger Lee Hayden finishing in the top ten (in tenth place) on his wild-card Kawasaki. Multi-time champ Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) finished in fourth.
