The motocross world comes to the U.S. this weekend to race the prestigious Motocross des Nations at Budds Creek, Maryland. The host country is the defending champion, and with a healthy Ricky Carmichael teamed with Ryan Villopoto and Tim Ferry, one of the favorites this year, as well.
Roughly 35 countries will be represented by three-rider teams. Budds Creek, which is part of the AMA Motocross series, was criticized by Ricky Carmichael following the AMA race earlier this year as, essentially, a track unfit for this prestigious competition. The Budds Creek facility, however, has been hard at work at improvements prior to the event.
