If you are a four-time World GP champion, have 42 grand prix victories to your credit, and are only 36 years old, you wouldn’t think you’d have much difficulty finding a job racing motor bikes. Well, apparently Max Biaggi has had some trouble after leaving his Suzuki WSB team behind this year.
According to Mr. Biaggi’s official web site, he signed a contract today to race in WSB next year aboard a Ducati. The team is Sterilgarda GMB Ducati, which took Ruben Xaus to a 6th place finish in the 2007 WSB championship. According to Biaggi, he has been guaranteed “high-level technicians”, and it has always been his dream to ride a Ducati. Biaggi indicates the team will not be testing until December, at the earliest.
