Former World champ Loris Capirossi seems to have found a home at Suzuki. Never able to ride the Ducati like Stoner last year, Capirossi was clearly frustrated and ready to move on.
His lap times on the Suzuki MotoGP bike in early testing have been impressive. He is clearly comfortable, and already going quicker than he did on the Ducati at the same track.
Could Capirossi, at the age of 34, challenge for the title next year? Suzuki seems ready to step it up, but so does Kawasaki (with Hopkins) and Honda. Stoner will have some interesting company on the podium next year, including Loris Capirossi, but you cannot bet against him repeating after such a dominant performance in 2007.
