The first round of the 2008 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series will be held in Anaheim, California tomorrow evening. Heavy rains are expected all weekend here in Southern California, and the track is covered with tarps at the moment for that reason.
Rain and supercross do not mix well, particularly with the dirt frequently used in Anaheim Stadium. The last Anaheim mud race I witnessed was a disaster for a number of the top riders. It truly makes for an unpredictable race, which in this instance could result in a poor start to the series for one or more of the top riders. Check back tomorrow evening for a report on the race results.
