Okay, so much for the theory that Valentino Rossi will struggle to adapt his Yamaha to Bridgestone tires this year. Only recently returned from injury, he is already scorching the track. After two days of the ongoing Sepang test, Rossi was quicker than any other rider. This includes former World champ Nicky Hayden (who was roughly half a second behind Rossi’s fastest lap), and Rossi’s teammate Jorge Lorenzo (fourth quickest and nearly two seconds slower than Rossi. A third day of testing is scheduled in Sepang. There is no doubt that the Yamaha is getting better, as well.
