The opening round of the MotoGP series was held under the lights at the Losail circuit in Qatar today. Defending champion Casey Stoner (Ducati) won the race ahead of rookie sensation Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha). Dani Pedrosa (Honda) finished third. Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) finished back in fifth position.
