Kawasaki’s James Stewart made a triumphant return to racing this afternoon in Southern California by winning both motos in the opening round of the AMA Motocross championship. Finishing second on the day with 2/2 moto scores was Mike Alessi (Suzuki), while David Millsaps (Honda) finished third with 3/3.
In the Motocross Lites opener, young Austin Stroupe (Kawasaki) took the overall win with 2/3 finishes, while teammate Ryan Villopoto finished second with 5/1 moto score and Jason Lawrence (Yamaha) was third overall with 1/5.
