It seems that you either love him or you hate him, but Tony George has allowed Nicky Hayden to ride a motorcycle in front of thousands of motorsport fans at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on two separate occasions now. He is promoting the MotoGP race scheduled to occur at his track on September 14, of course, but at the same time he is giving motorcycle racing a huge boost in this country.
There is no question that Indianapolis Motor Speedway is more important to motorsports in this country than Daytona. It isn’t even close. We can’t be sure what racing motorcycles at Indy will do for the popularity of two wheeled motorsport in this country, but the impact could be profound.
