Wet weather didn’t stop Ducati’s Casey Stoner from taking his third straight victory from pole position earlier today. Crashes claimed several of the riders, as is usually the case in a wet race, and Dani Pedrosa (Honda) was one of the early victims. Pedrosa was unable to continue with damage to both his body and his bike. Watch our Industry News Release page for details from Honda on Pedrosa’s condition.
Finishing second and third today were Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) and Chris Vermeulen (Suzuki).
With Pedrosa’s DNF, Rossi re-takes the championship points lead. For additional details, results and points, visit the official MotoGP site here.
