The AMA Motocross championship visited the Southwick sand track earlier today, and Kawasaki’s James Stewart maintained his perfect record this season by winning both motos in the Motocross division. Finishing second behind Stewart was Cody Cooper (Suzuki; 7/2), who was followed by Tim Ferry (Kawasaki; 4/4). Stewart has already clinched the Motocross championship for this year.
In the Lites division, Ryan Villopoto (Kawasaki) won both motos today, while Ryan Dungey (Suzuki; 3/2) finished second overall, and Bret Metcalfe (Kawasaki; 2/3) finished third overall. Villopoto has also clinched the title in his division for this year.
