You may already know this, but Ben Spies belongs in MotoGP next year. On a bike that is still relatively unfamiliar, Spies thoroughly out-rode his Rizla Suzuki teammates last weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway to finish sixth (Chris Vermeulen was ninth, and Loris Capirossi finished sixteenth). Spies did this while racing in horrendous conditions.
There may not be a spot left open for Spies next year, but you can bet someone, somewhere is trying to make one for this 24-year-old AMA Superbike champion.
