An AMA Superbike double header at Infineon Raceway in Northern California this weekend began on Saturday when Yamaha’s Josh Hayes took the win and ended an eight race win streak by Suzuki’s Mat Mladin (who finished fifth) and a multi-year win streak by American Suzuki in AMA Superbike races. Rounding out the podium on Saturday were Tommy Hayden (Suzuki) and Larry Pegram (Ducati).
Mladin bounced back on Sunday to take the win ahead of Yamaha’s Ben Bostrom in second, while Hayden finished third.
