The opening round of the AMA Motocross championship occurred today at Glen Helen Park in Southern California. In the 450 class, Ryan Villopoto (Kawasaki) had a perfect day finishing 1/1. Second and third overall went to Michael Alesi (Suzuki; 3/2) and Josh Grant (Yamaha; 2/4).
In the 250 class, Ryan Dungey took the overall win for Suzuki (2/1), while Kawasaki’s Christophe Pourcel finished second overall (1/7) and Kawasaki’s Tyla Rattray finished third overall (5/2).
