Helped by good timing in his switch to a bike with slicks, Yamaha’s Ben Spies won the first race at Misano today — starting on a wet track and ending on a dry one. Early race leader Shane Byrne (Ducati) finished second ahead of third place Michel Fabrizio (Ducati). In race 2, Jonathan Rea (Honda) took the win ahead of a pair of Ducatis, with Fabrizio finishing second and Noriyuki Haga in third. Spies finished down in ninth place in race 2 as a result of a clutch problem.
Haga continues to lead the WSB points. For additional details, results and points, visit the official WSB site here.
