Arguably the greatest off-road rider on the planet (with both World championship and AMA titles to his credit), David Knight, has announced he has left the services of his motorcycle sponsor BMW. Knight openly acknowledges his riding style was not compatible with BMW’s new enduro machine. Also leaving the World Enduro championship, Knight is on his way to the United States to race this weekend in West Virginia at the AMA GNCC event. Reports indicate Knight will be piloting a Kawasaki, although we have no information about a formal sponsorship agreement between Knight and the green factory.
Knight may be using the GNCC event as a tune-up prior to the commencement of the EnduroCross series in Las Vegas next month.
