Perhaps the most prominent Harley-Davidson dealer in the United States was killed earlier today riding his motorcycle with friends to Sturgis, South Dakota for the annual rally. Bruce Rossmeyer, owner of roughly nine Harley-Davidson dealerships in total, including the famous Daytona dealership, was 64 years old at the time of the accident.
Mr. Rossmeyer was reportedly hit by an RV when his group of motorcycles had pulled out to pass the RV. We do not have additional details at this time. Rossmeyer was en route to Sturgis with friends after departing the annual Harley-Davidson dealer meeting in Colorado. Our condolences to the friends and family of Mr. Rossmeyer.
