The 2010 AMA Supercross series opened this evening in Anaheim, with James Stewart (Yamaha) taking a close win over a surprising Ryan Dungey (Suzuki). Dungey led most of the race, and battled Stewart right to the final lap. Honda’s Kevin Windham finished third in the Supercross division. After tangling with another rider on the first lap, Kawasaki’s Chad Reed damaged his front wheel and had to retire from the race.
In the Western Region Lites main event, Jake Weimer (Kawasaki) took the win ahead of second place Trey Canard (Honda) and third place Ryan Morais (Suzuki).
