The MotoGP series visited the redesigned Silverstone circuit in England this weekend, and Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) came away with the win ahead of Andrea Dovizioso (Honda) in second and Ben Spies (Yamaha) in third. Lorenzo lengthens his points lead in the series.

OUTSTANDING last lap! My wife and kid kept asking me what was going on in the living room as I was screaming and hollering through it all! Nicky 4th again, but look at it this way – in comparison to how he was last year on the Duc, he’s doing so so much better. I’m going to have to erase more SpongeBob Squarepants cartoons to make DVR recording room for this MotoGP season for sure! Hoo Doggie!
There was no battle for first place here as Lorenzo got to the front and never looked back. The battle for 2-6, however, was amazing. One of the best races of the season.
