Southwick Motocross Results

Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey won both motos at Southwick earlier this weekend to clinch the Lucas Oil Motocross Championship title in the 450 class in his rookie year.  Dungey, of course, earlier won the Supercross title in his rookie year, a combination that has never been achieved previously.  Finishing second overall today was Mike Alessi (KTM; 3/4), with third overall going to Matt Goerke (Yamaha; 6/3).

In the 250 class, Tyla Rattray took the overall victory with a 2/2 for Kawasaki, while Justin Barcia (Honda; 4/1) finished second overall, and Trey Canard (Kawasaki; 1/9) was third.  Christophe Pourcel (Kawasaki) continues to have the championship points lead in the 250 class despite a fifth place showing today.
