“Many of our more successful events, in terms of both rider experience and commercial viability, are those where we work with an established promotional partner,” said AMA Vice President of Administration Bob Chaddock. “This is the structure for programs such as the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships and the AMA Rekluse National Enduro Championship Series. The reason for this success is simple: These relationships showcase the promoting partner’s expertise while allowing AMA Racing to focus on sanctioning services.”
Chaddock added that potential promotional partners must demonstrate they can effectively manage racing activities from a commercial and operational standpoint. The partnerships are sought for the 2011 season, but multi-year proposals will be accepted.
For more information on the specific responsibilities of the promotional partner as well as AMA Racing under this relationship, and for details on submitting a proposal, contact Bob Chaddock at rchaddock@ama-cycle.org or (614) 856-1900, ext. 1349.
